Operation Christmas Child

Dear Parents,

This year we are once again blessed with packing Christmas Boxes through Samaritan’s Purse.  Calvary Christian School has had this honor for many years.  We encourage all our students and their families to participate in this wonderful endeavor.  

In these uncertain times, it’s now more important than ever for children around the world to know that God loves them, and has not forgotten them!  Together, let’s fill these Christmas boxes for the many, many boys and girls who need to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Thank you for all your help in years past, and we pray that you will be able to continue your generous giving this year!

Below are the lists of items we need to pack this year’s boxes, and we have made suggestions for each class to bring.  For example, the 1^st grade class are asked to bring toothbrushes, 2^nd grade jump ropes, etc.  If you feel you do not have the time to gather the items suggested for your child’s class, you may also make a contribution toward this effort.  Our goal is to make at least 26+ Christmas Shoeboxes (two boxes per class).  Please know that the Dollar Tree Plus has everything listed, or you may find your item on sale at another store.  We will be collecting the items starting on Monday, October 21^st through Thursday, November 14^th.

Preschool and Kindergarten                  Crayons

The cardboard dimensions of the boxes are:  12 inches x 7 inches x 4.38 inches – about the size of a shoebox.  Items need to be small enough to fit inside.
